Privacy
Short version: the app keeps your data on your computer, and this website only handles the messages you choose to send us. The long version is below, in plain English.

This website
The site handles only what a form carries. It sets no cookies.

Voice announcements are spoken by your operating system's own built-in speech synthesis. No audio is recorded, and none is sent anywhere. The app contains no artificial intelligence and no machine learning; the announcements are text read aloud by the system voice, nothing more.

HouseClock and this website are provided by Alexander Haroutiounian, trading as Hot Stack Poker (“Hot Stack Poker,” “we,” or “us”), the individual responsible for the data described here. HouseClock is its product; this policy covers both.
The application
HouseClock, the desktop application, is built to be private by default. Concretely:
- It collects nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no telemetry. It does not track how you use it.
- It transmits nothing. Your structures, events, players, and results are never sent anywhere. It runs offline.
- It stores everything locally. All your data is saved on the computer the app runs on, and nowhere else. Player names and phone numbers never leave that machine.
The only time the app touches the internet is if you manually download it or check for an update. Running an event never does.
This website
This website sets no cookies of any kind, runs no advertising, and loads no third-party tracking scripts. Because nothing here needs your consent, there is no cookie banner, and that is deliberate.
It does measure traffic, with privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Web Analytics). That means an aggregate count of how many people view each page: no cookies, no personal data, and no way to identify you or follow you from one site to another. We can see that a page was viewed, not who viewed it.
The forms are the one place you hand us something directly. When you use the contact, venue licensing, waitlist, or purchase inquiry form, we handle only what you type in:
- Contact and venue forms: your name, email, role, any venue details you add, and your message.
- Purchase inquiry: your name, email, tier of interest, and an optional note.
- Waitlist: your email address.
Those details are emailed to us so we can reply or, for the waitlist, notify you once when the app is available. We do not store them in a database. They live in our inbox like any email you would send us, and we use them only to respond to you.
Spam protection and server logs
To stop automated abuse of the forms, the server briefly holds your IP address in memory to count recent submissions. It is not written to disk and is discarded shortly after.
Like any website, ours is served by a hosting provider (Vercel) that keeps standard operational request logs for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
The third parties we rely on
We won't pretend there are none. Running a website and answering email involves two providers, and it is fair for you to know who they are:
- Vercel hosts this website and keeps standard server request logs for security and reliability.
- Zoho Mail carries the forms you send and holds our replies, the same as any email you would send us.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. Nothing goes beyond what is required to serve the page and get your note to us and our reply back to you.
Your choices
If you would rather not share anything, simply don't submit a form. Nothing else on the site asks for your data. If you have written to us and want your message deleted, email us and we'll remove it.
